On 26 August, China Electronics Corporation's Kylin Software formally released YinHeQilin V11 – the nation's inaugural commercial operating system based on the Linux 6.6 kernel. This milestone signifies that domestically developed operating systems have attained unprecedented levels of security, intelligence and user-friendliness.
YinHeQilin V11 supports the latest features of the Linux 6.6 kernel while introducing over 120 proprietary enhancements. It boasts a redefined architecture, an intelligent and user-friendly experience, comprehensive security controls, and a natively open ecosystem.
Concurrently, the company unveiled the ‘QiXin Partner 5.0’ ecosystem development initiative. CEC-Qilin Software will allocate 500 million yuan in dedicated funding across four key domains: openKylin and open-source ecosystems; talent ecosystems and industry-education integration; general ecosystems and native development; and industry ecosystems and solutions. This initiative aims to collaborate with industry, academia, research, and application partners to break down barriers, foster a thriving ecosystem, and propel the development of China's domestic operating system industry.
